The Mask of Death

From The Acaeum Wiki

Based on the characters and plotline of the movie "The Gamers: Dorkness Rising", this promotional adventure was produced exclusively for Gencon 2005 and never available in stores. After Gencon, a limited number of copies were made available through Goodman Games' website. The Mask of Death was one of the few DCC modules with a somewhat non-serious, comedic tone to the adventure.

The Mask of Death

There are no interior illustrations in DCC 20.5 Mask of Death; instead, black and white movie stills are used throughout (including the player handouts).

DCC 20.5 is "Chapter One" of a proposed three-chapter adventure which was to be collected and released as a single adventure at the same time the movie "The Gamers: Dorkness Rising" was released. The chapters were entitled: Chapter 1: The Enemy of My Enemy (the adventure presented in 20.5); Chapter 2: To Face a Fiend (unreleased); and Chapter 3: Mort Kemnon's Lair (unreleased); and Epilogue (unreleased). The collected edition has never been released.

"The Gamers: Dorkness Rising" was finally released at Gencon Indy 2008.
