As stated in the editor's note, Monsters! Monsters! is a fantasy game that was designed to be the flip side of Tunnels and Trolls as it allows characters to play as monsters. It includes statistics for 52 monsters as diverse as the dragon, snollygoster and giant slug with information on gaining experience points and advancing in levels. It has an eight page sample adventure entitled Woodsedge Inn in the centre (between pages 20 and 21) with pages numbered i to viii. The first edition for which there are two print versions was released by Metagaming in 1976. The second edition was released by Flying Buffalo.
