From The Acaeum Wiki

Year of the Phoenix is a science fiction RPG set in the near future. Players take on the role of soldiers who are members of the US Space Command. The game is set in the future year 2197 in which Russia occupies all of North America. The boxed game contains two books, essentially Player's and Gamemaster's books as indicated below. It has a Gamemaster's screen, a sheet with 6 pre-generated characters, a blank character sheet that can be photocopied, a quick start guide, fold-out map and four dice. The fold-out map shows the political divisions of North Amercia in 2197. It has a combat grid on the reverse side. The Adventure Guide has a bi-fold cardstock sheet stapled in its centre that has cut-out vehicle counters for use on the combat grid.
