About:High Fantasy

From The Acaeum Wiki

High Fantasy is a simple role-playing system that was developed by Jeffrey C. Dillow and released in 1978. There are just four character types: warriors, wizards, animal masters and alchemist with eight possible sub-classes: armorer, healer, historian (archaeologist), hunter, jeweler, martial artist, sensitive (psychic) and thief /assassin. The combat and advancement system is managed with percentile dice and charts. The scenarios are very well developed and designed for a Judge (DM) and players. It was originally published by Fantasy Productions Inc., under which there were three distinct printing releases of the core book as well as two scenarios: Fortress Ellendar and Moorguard.

The game was substantially revised and expanded when released through Reston Publishing. The Reston version of High Fantasy contains a solo adventure entitled Queztec'l, which works much like fighting fantasy books (i.e. you go to different numbered paragraphs based on your choices), but utilising the more detailed High Fantasy character advancement and combat system.
