Printing Information

This scenario was independently published by Bob Blake
after GenCon 1976 and sold by him at other conventions prior to its publication by Judges Guild.

  • 1st Printing (1976):  Has no cover and is only round 1 of the tournament. It is also slightly different compared to the red covered version's round 1 as well as in the text layout. Maybe the actual round 1 tournament module. Thanks to Mike 'Invincible Overlord' for help with this info.  The actual scans shown were Bob Blake's copies used at Gen Con X (Note: there maybe different copies that predate this.)

  • 2nd Printing (1976):  Red cover.  Contains both the 1st and 2nd rounds of the tournament. Thanks to Matthias Bock for help with this info, and to Matthias Bock for the scan.

  • 3rd Printing (1976):  The only difference with this green-covered version is that the pages are numbered. Thanks to Matthias Bock for help with this info, and to Matthias Bock for the scan.

  • 4th Printing (1978):  Monochrome cover of a castle with a dragon peering out the front gate.  Product list is just photos with the highest number being 53.

  • 5th Printing (1980):  Color cover insert with book that has the same cover as the 4th printing.  Product list is titled "Treasure Vault" (cover) with the highest number being 270.  Product list is just photos (book) with the highest number being 240.
