Heh.  Well, as some consolation for missing Gen Con, I found the true Holy Grail of D&D collectibles!

Gummi-ish.  (Keep in mind that these wrappers are close to 30 years old, so my memory of how they tasted isn't all that hot!)

Could make for a miniatures system in which damage is recorded by eating all or part of a figure. Such a game would have the added dimension of challenging the stomachs of the players - a party attacked by a horde of marshmallow peeps could be overwhelmed by quantity. Strict rules would need to be enforced regarding suitability for consumption: no traditional lead figures, no representing your PC with a hot pepper to discourage attacks.

For years, our group used Gummi Bears for waves of goblins, kobolds, and other expendable humanoids.  The person who got the kill got to eat the Gummi.  "Kill the red ones first!" became something of an unofficial battle cry.

D&D meat products were sold in Spain in the early '80s. Although this is according to the highly inaccurate InQuest D&D price guide, so maybe it was a butcher shop with the initials D&D.

I hope not.  Somehow, it does my heart good to imagine that there were cold cuts out there with names like Olive Slime Loaf and Ettin Head Cheese...

I think the Spanish meat products were authentic D&D products. "D&D lunch meat" was mentioned by (I think) Stan! in the "Secrets of TSR" panel at Paizocon. (Video here.)

The Seattle area once boasted the S&M Market and T&A Supply.  We still have Tacoma Screw Products. D&D Meats would fit in just fine.

In Austin we once had a "Stoned Windshield Repair" shop.
