Just like the subject says -- a thread to brag about your latest acquisition.

I've been decorating the new gameroom and got my Reaper Sophie collection all rounded out... here's the temporary display til I can get around to painting them.  Thanks to TollHouse Golem for the mounting suggestion!

I had a few packages arrives over the last couple months and am just now finding time to sort everything out... thought I'd grab a pick or two and share.

First, who knew early B2 prints had more art?  Not me, this is the mod I first explored the game with... mine was a later print, I never knew there was artwork removed for later edits.  So here's a second print B2, like they say, it's new-to-me :)

Here are some new goodies...

Ah, so that's who I lost the Black Opal Eye to.  ;-)

Are you sure the B2 isn't a 1st print interior with a second+ print cover?  A first print cover has 4 lines in the first paragraph...

I recently obtained A1-3 in shrink. Also, a few first print monos.

Oh, and three copies of something called Grimoire. It looks to be a college press release... just spell sheets but kinda cool. Plus, they're hardbacks. I like that. And all black.

I'll try to get some pictures if anyone cares.

I'm not sure how rare this one is and it was obviously well used, but I'm quiet happy with it at $10.   :D

Sears is allowing resellers to list on their site.  This is by one of them. Similar to what Amazon does.

I picked up a collection recently.  I spent the weekend going through and sorting everything and figured I'd snap some pics while they were spread out nicely.

It was largely sight unseen... I had an idea of some of the contents, but there ended up being some very pleasant surprises :)

Here's what I brought home, two large bins:

SPI Dragonquest and Fantasy Games Unlimited.  Coincidentally I'd posted not long ago looking for some FGU products... aside from ebay I've never seen them available second-hand.

Some I.C.E. including MERP

I posted some Harn pics not long ago, there was a very well-kept collection of Harn books, including a complete run of Encyclopedia Harnica

I feel very honoured and privileged to have been able to accept all these books.  They were from the original owner.  Many of the books still have price tags from local games stores that have long since closed up.

A highlight for me was reading the detailed, painstaking annotations - sometimes in the books, more often on loose-leaf pages.  A labour of love.  I get a bit welled up with nostalgia when reading the work of DM's from decades past.  After a first going-through of everything and making some organization, I look forward to many, many evenings of reading these gems.
