I've been searching for Frank Mentzer's old thread about these dice sets when he was offering them up for sale.  I bought a full set of them, from the waxy-soft, dull-ish first run dice to the modern prototypes.  Can anyone recall what these were going for when Frank sold them?  What might they be worth now?  A hard item to put a value on, I guess.  Unfortunately, I didn't save any of my correspondence with Frank from the original sale.

I'll be adding these to the Underground Sale, but don't want to let go of them without at least some inkling of what they might be worth.

Any chance of a piccie here on site for posterity.
These sound quite interesting.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . chicken and wild rice soup.

Were there eBayed Stephen?  If so, I may have saved the auction.

I think by Underground, he is saying there are no listings.
My guess is that he means:
You send (via PM) an offer and if he likes it, you won it.

And I agree with Ian.
I would also LOVE to see pics of those dice... 8)

The orange ones appear to be the same ones in my Basic and Expert (Otus) boxed sets.

I take it they used these for awhile?

And wasn't there a Tim Kask thread somewhere about the dice history?

Nice pics of those, I have a 'thing' for dice (my originals are from the early 80's), there are so many varieties , but I've always fancied a set of old worn ones in an old bag to have that real vintage feel

I do believe I may have a set from the early Gamma World boxed set - sure looks like the white set that's pictured.
