Why so much for this lot? (Grodog, you seemed to really want it).   I assume it is because of the Serpent Islands (which I am not familiar with).

Any ideas as to the value of this module?

(By the way, this is my 100th post!  I am now the 23rd person to hit that mark. . . only 524 more to catch Deadlord36).   :)

The Serpent Islands is somewhat uncommon but doesn't sell for a whole lot. We picked up two copies on Ebay: NM($2.99) & MIS($14.99). I am not sure how good the adventure is, haven't read it yet.

I babble more than you, but you had a head start on me.  I think my avg post per day is a little ahead of yours.

However, we should both get penalized for smartassedness whereas folks like grodog and darkseraphim (and many others) usually post much more 'meat'.  We're more of the beer chaser posts to their cognac posts. :D

As  for Serpent Isles,  It looked interesting to me only because I'd never seen one before... just when you think you at least know about everything you find some regional or small publisher that had some cool stuff you never saw before.  This is a lot more interesting hobby than coin collecting for that very reason!

(Gotta keep posting and catch Frank!)

LOL, and thanks Jon ;)

It was worth it to me for awhile, but I got a little carried away toward the end, and stopped, quite likely just in time, too.  I was interested in three of the books in the lot:  Realms of Horror, Gargoyle, and The Serpent Islands, and would have traded/resold the rest.  I figured SI alone would go for $25-ish, and I've seen S1-4 and G go for a up to $20-30-ish.  In any event, I'm glad I backed down.

Heh, I gave up coins ages ago too, Jon.  I thought it looked cool, figured if I could get it and the rest for $25 or so, that it would be worth it.  I'll try again at GenCon :D

Forget rarity, is Serpent Islands any good as an adventure?
