Anyone know when they started shrinkwrapping Dungeon Mag? Just received a copy #16 shrinkwrapped with the AD&D 2nd edition preview booklet. Did it come this way originally? Is this something added by a game store or distributor?

Shrinkwrapped? Or, plastic mailing wrap? I used to have a subscription to Dragon which came in a thicker plastic for mailing.

Shrinkwrap, though this is an early issue. I remember Dragon Mag and Dungeon Mag coming in a sealed plastic mailing wrap but this is shrink.

Was yours still sealed? The two shrinkwrapped together?

At that point (late '80s), I was buying them in my LGS. I can't remember if they were shrinkwrapped (together) or not. Something like Dragon 152 also had the same preview.

I do not remember an early version of Dungeon being shrinked...don't think I have seen one on ebay that way...

I had a subscription from about issue #20 on...I'm pretty sure they all arrived in a plastic mailing cover; definitely the later issues did.

I had a subscription from issue #2 until about issue #36 or something.  I remember the thick plastic mailer but never shrink. :?

I subscribed to Dungeon from the beginning, and it had a brown paper wrap-around mailing cover and the issue was not shrinked.  The paper of the mailer was darker than earlier-era Dragon wrap-around mailers from the 50s and 60s.

FWIW, I sent scans of the original TD mailers with Dragon #1 art on them, along with the later ones for Dragon and Dungeon in to Scott for the next update.
