Any ideas on the values of the following? (At least, what they might go for at conventions.)

Shown on picture #1 below:
* Games Unplugged #1 (June/July 2000)
* Grenadier Nightmares line- 609 Vampire Hunters- 3 miniatures in unopened blister pack.
* Sim City Card Game- Dungeons & Starships card (D&S is or was the name of an RPG shop)
* Amazing Stories 1986 calendar
* Storybook Collection- Rodney Matthews 1990 calendar

* Silmarillion, by J. R. R. Tolkein (1977 print)
* A Tolkien Bestiary, by J. R. R. Tolkein (1986 print)

Shown on picture #2 below:
* Tunnels & Trolls (orange cover, 2nd printing, January 1980; printed in Walsall, UK)

* Iron Crown Quarterly (Vol. 12, Number 7)
* Iron Crown Quarterly (Vol. 12, Number 8 "Summer Beach Issue")

* Polyhedron 7 + 8; UK/European version
* Legions of Darkness (a sourcebook for Kult RPG; 1993, Metropolis Ltd)
* Warlock #1 (official Fighting Fantasy magazine; GW; 2 cm tear on cover)
* Runequest 2nd edition (1980, GW version) (one "leader" sheet filled in by pencil) (BTW, this is just the book, not the box set; I didn't know there was a boxed version until recently!)

My guess is that most of the stuff from picture 1 wouldn't be of much interest - nothing stands out as more than $5 there.

From picture 2 the UK Tunnels & Troll and Grimtooth books are a few pounds each but probably no more than 5 pounds each.  ICQ is probably in the same range but might be the easiest ones to sell.  No real clue on the RPGA mat - TSR mats have sold well in the past but I have no clue on the rarity of the RPGA one.

Of the stuff not pictures, usually the UK Polyhedrons sell as a set so individual issues would probably go cheap.  The MERP books again would probably net you the most out of everything list but a MERP collector could tell you which ones are $5 books and which ones are $50 - I'm not really sure.

I'd buy the T&T book and the Grimtooth's stuff for $30 before shipping.

If you are looking to sell, I would suggest taking that offer.

FYI, the third Grimtooth Traps book and Citybook I also have UK editions.

I might be interested in the RPGA mat, if you're planning to sell it.

Picture #1:
    Grenadier Nightmares line- 609 Vampire Hunters- 3 miniatures in unopened blister pack.
    I don't think that these are rare; Benjoshua/Mars/EggOfCoot?
    Virtual Light, by William Gibson (signed by the man himself!)
    I don't follow autographed books . . .
    The two tour guides
    Which Queensryche tour (year/album)?  A couple of bucks to me, maybe.

    Everything else in Picture #1 is not worth much.
Picture #2:
    Ah, the offers are already coming in.  :)
Not Pictured
    The MERP items are worth auctioning if they are complete.
    The rest also looks worth auctioning, except for the worthless White Wolf novels.

I've only seen one lot of Iron Crown Quarterly issues go by on eBay in the last couple years. 7 issues went for $15 and probably (though I can't say I checked) shipped from Australia to outside of Australia. (So add a non-trivial shipping cost.)

I would certainly bid on those if you listed them. (And if you don't want to list them on eBay, I'd be interested in a direct sale.)

* 8000 Middle Earth Roleplaying (boxed rules set. 1985; Games Workshop licensed from I.C.E.)
* 2800 Isengard and Northern Gondor
* 2900 Moria, The Dwarven City
* 3800 Far Harad- The Scorched Land
* 8030 The Tower of Cirith Ungol and Shelob's Lair
* 8201 Weathertop- Tower of the Wind

8030 is very common, but can be worth $10+ in better conditions. The rest could each go for more. 8000 is best if its uncut with the various maps in good shape. 3800 is best with the map still included. Certainly all sellable.

Mars, you collect this stuff much more aggressively than I, so if you were bidding, I'd be inclined to stand aside.

But in exchange, I'd love to talk about a few things in them. Especially if you already have any of the later issues.

Me too. Oh, wait...

Heh. Are the books complete with no interior writing or marks?

Hmm, seems I might be gathering a "he who spends too much" vibe...

The price for the boxed MERP set depends a lot on the conditions of the components and if it was complete or not. I recently sold a copy complete and in excellent conditions for around £ 20. The various MERP modules, if complete, could be in my opinion sold around £ 10 apiece with a bit of luck, Far Harad and Isengard perhaps for more...

Thanks for the comments!

Queensryche Tour Programme: It's from the Empire tour in the UK. I just did a quick look on ebay, and there were two BINs, at $75 and $20. I suspect the first price is insanely high!

The T&T/Grimtooth stuff: There's no pencil marks on the T&T rulebook or Grimtooth's Traps. It appears that at some point I tried solving the code at the back of the second trap book (in pencil), which I later rubbed out; still the rubbed out marks aren't that big.

Given the state of the market, I'm not really looking to ebay anything at the moment.
BTW, does anyone think they know when the market will pick up (or is that like asking "how long is a piece of string?"!).

Please note that I don't have an ebay or PayPal account. However, if Alan (Killjoy32) is willing to act as an intermediary (ie. I give him the books to take across to the States to give to buyers when he next goes there), then something may be arranged.
It's a shame I didn't start this thread a week ago (ie. before he went to Texas!); oh well.

I suspect several people would offer you a price for the T&T items.

Me for one, and the offer above is another.

That was not a bad offer, but I think you can do better on E-Bay.

honestly.

I think you should seriously consider placing those items up seperately on E-Bay for a MUCH wider range of potential buyers.

I think they would sell for $15 or more per book (Average).

In fact I would list them seperately starting at $10 each.

BTW: Your Yellow book will garner the most action. 8)

** expired/removed eBay auction **

My copy of Grimtooth's Traps (First Print, Listed on E-Bay now) is not in as good a condition as yours, and it is going to sell for at least $10.

I suggested that he take the offer on those books because most likely he will not get that much for them on Ebay.  Each would probably sell for 5 pounds each or less on Ebay.  That is not a reflection on current times but rather what they typically sell for.

The auction is expired now, but last year I picked up a nice UK T&T boxed set that contains that book for 2 pounds 17 - I think the book was also available separately.

Also, the Grimtooth book isn't a first print - it's a UK first print.  Again with all of these UK prints, if you are not in a rush, you could probably pick them all up in a month or two for less than 5 pounds each.  The UK Citybook I might cost a bit more because it seems difficult to find.
