(I've bought and traded game books there for a long time.)Here's my initial list of inquiry based on what WK currently has available. If you asked I'll bet someone has an extra (or ten) they might just give you.
Kingofpain89 wrote:Fiend Folio for $25? If you asked I'll bet someone has an extra (or ten) they might just give you. Yeah, most of these are overpriced but there are a few that are close to Ebay prices and you also have to factor in shipping costs with Ebay. You dont have to worry about that with a local store.
Kingofpain89 wrote:If it was me I would probably pick up GAZ14, AC4, I14, X6, and MSOLO1 (maybe I9 and C4 as well). But only if they were in mint, complete condition or in shrinkwrap (definitely shrinkwrap on the MSOLO1...no point in getting it otherwise in my opinion because there is no point in opening it).

A complete one with box is probably $65-$100 depending on condition.
Grug Greyskin wrote:Out of this list, the U1 and S4 are not bad, assuming they are in solid condition.Battlesystem with H1 for $25 looks too good to be true, as H1 would easily go for twice that or more on E-Bay. Unless there is something really wrong there (my assumption is that it is not complete in some fashion), that is probably a good grab.Eld Wiz would be okay for a first print, but it is probably not a first print, in which case, it is a ripoff.Everything else is overpriced, IMO.
Knightfall wrote:WK actually has two copies of the BattleSystem box, but the other version is only the box (for CAN $24). I'm thinking that the $25 box either isn't complete or the copy of H1 isn't complete/in horrible condition.
Mars wrote:That seems most likely when considering the prices of their other boxed sets. H1 is a very thin box (maybe 1 cm wide) but it should be the same length and width so it wouldn't fit inside another boxed set. H1 also comes with a bunch of cardboard buildings and counters. Part of its value is that it is very difficult to find a complete one - also very difficult to find one where the box has not been crushed. The Battlesystem boxed set is not very difficult to find and a good condition one would be $20 or less. Copies are often missing the 2 lead miniature generals though.
