Yes, the nostalgia far outwieghs the price I'd get at auction.  Since I'm not hurting for money, the collection will be kept for sentimental value, perhaps my children's children will find it more valuable monetarily, but alas, that is not in my timeline.  Since this post marks a change in topic, it really no longer fits into this particular board, so I'd like to thank everyone who posted and helped me realize the actual value and place of my collection.

I am glad that I could help you find the monetary value of your collection. As to the actual value, well, that I could never say. I figure my collection is worth in the area of $8000-9000. However, my most valuable item is a beat up, hopelessly used copy of T1 Village of Hommlet that might fetch 50 cents at auction. This is because it is the only item I have left from my days of playing starting in the late 70's (I gave the rest away to fellow soldiers when I was discharged from the Army in 1992).
