What's a good ballpark figure for one of these sets?  Not sure if it's complete or not but I looked in the lists and didn't see the answer so I thought I'd throw it out there.

Amazon has them listed used starting at $60.57 and new(?) at $99.99.

Just like a lot of the other 2nd Edition items, the prices for them fluctuate quite a bit on Ebay.  Troll & Toad has one up right now with a BIN of $91.76....but that is pretty unreasonable if you ask me.  I would say half of that is "reasonable".  But you can get it cheaper....just like this:

Those numbers are too high. Particularly right now.

$50 is much more reasonable. Problem is that they do not come up that often.

A clean, complete set can hit the $60-70 at most.

But more likely, if you are persistent one can be had for $40 or so.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

That has seemed to be roughly the average that I've spotted lately.  (Though obviously occasionally higher and occasionally lower.)

If it is incomplete though it will go for significantly less.  You really need the maps and books to play it

I think it has all the booklets included so it would be a matter of checking which maps are supposed to be in it.  The "show this to the players" booklet might be missing however.  Does anyone have a complete list of contents for this product (or a link)?

There should be a complete list on the box, usually on the back. Make sure that if it was suppossed to have a monstrous compendium section that they are included. MC pages from boxed sets, especially the loose king meant for binders, are almost always missing.

FWIW, From what I have seen, these sets can go for around as high as $50, however the usually top out in the $25-$35 range range when they are in good shape.

Occasionally they go higher, occasionally they go lower, but usually within that $25-$35 range.

I looked at these about a month or two ago and most of them sold in the $25-$40 range.  I sold my extra copy for $30.

I just won this one a week or so ago. Box is in fantastic shape, and the booklets are pristine. The only thing missing was the facsimile copy of the original module.

** expired eBay auction **

Oh hey, this is the one Kingofpain quoted!  :)

I had to get it for the price.

Yup.  I wasn't sure if it would get scooped or not so I bid higher, I guess no one else either saw it or needed it currently.

Now to make it complete!
