Hi, all. When I was at TSR, I picked up some promo art packets for Al-Qadim, Dark Sun, and (basic) Dungeons & Dragons. These cards are approximately 11 x 14 glossy sheets with art depicting the line. Here's an example:

Does anyone know what these items were originally intended for, who received them, and their general frequency?

Thanks!

I think Lawrenson picked up one of these packs from Crazy Egor at Gencon last year.  Don't know what he paid for them though.

Hi,

yes, I got the Al-qadim pack, plus some other TSR prints I havent been able to trace the origin of.

I can't actually remember what the price was, but I think it was about $45ish.

I was pretty happy anyhow.

Cheers,
malc

iirc, they were given out to distributors. i remember seeing them when i worked bitd. i think we (as distributors) were supposed to use the cards as we saw fit (giving them to our customers or using them for art layouts etc.). that's my hazy recollection....
