Is there anybody owning these $%&/! boxed sets of miniatures for D&D? If so, could they kindly send me a scan of the boxes (or point me where I can find some images)? Thanks!

I've been looking for them for a long time and haven't come across any... but they must be out there somewhere.  The Basic set is pretty easy to find.

My best guess, judging from a retailer's perspective, is this: these three boxed sets were not designed for hobby stores but for mass market outlets, so they are now very rare because there weren't so many sold in the specialist market. In the Harold Johnson interview there was a hint about this policy, for example about the Marvel Super Heros miniatures being considered 'rare' at the time.
