Original and, yes, a looney price indeed for a looney product. ;)
The other underbidders were about right at the ~$150 level, IMHO. Greg Stafford's copy went for $178.48 (underbidder on that one, too, to Bill).
Had been looking for a copy since the Dragon review and was going to make sure I didn't mind at all if I was outbid. :)

I'm still /slightly/ dubious about the "dozen copies only sold" paraphrase given the number that have turned up over the years: it's still very rare, no doubt, but then so is the Infinity RPG than went for $22.15 in the same batch of sales.

Would have been a bit higher if someone remembered to bid and didn't get caught up in work :(  I currenlty have a mold/mildew infested on from NK that needs to be returned (Fair+ my a$$).

Akkk... :? (x2)

(Was that the one with the separate "cover sheet", or another copy? Still trying to figure out how that works given the bag as shown with the red sheet on top).

The red sheet was the cover of the book itself but the yellow coversheet was tucked inside.

Undercover sheet?

Will have a look out for that, then... Thanks; and trust you'll find a copy that doesn't require an infinite biohazard warning. :/

Ya, there are always things to keep looking for and enough stuff out there to keep spending on too.

Your copy looks complete although should check with Loki if his is holepunched - the mold  copy is holepunched too (wasn't sure if it was original though).

Anyone knows if the seller is still selling reprints of Spawn of Fashan?

Egad. This thread started five years ago. I'd still be interested in a copy if it is still possible!

I never did get one of these. :( Still hunting.

Tried that Facebook group but it never worked because they wanted far too much information. Oh well. Eventually some day I'll find one. Maybe.

Hello All Spawn of Fashan Fans,

I reached out to Mr. Davis (Kirby), the author of Spawn of Fashan and mentioned my interest along with others here on the Acaeum forum. I would also gather members of the Dragonsfoot forum would have some interest as well. I mentioned that we both attended OU (Univ. of Oklahoma) around the same time (he was 3 years before me). He said that if there is sufficient interest to generate 10 or more copies, then he would be willing to provide a discount. Can we please get a count of who would like a copy?

Here is what he said about the current prints:

Kirby L. Davis: "As you might expect, I sold out of the original run long ago, so I no longer number them. The signed books replicate the original content and cover, plus the two-page update added with the first reprint nearly 20 years ago. I replaced the comb binding with a spiral, and added clear plastic covers front and back. I normally charge $55 a copy, which covers shipping."

He did not mention what kind of discount, but let's see how many people want a copy and then we can see what kind of discount he would be willing to offer. Maybe we can get closer to 20 people ;-)

Thank you - Paul

"Okay, we turn the corner and see a Purple 'WHAT' !?!" . . (the DM rolls a 20 or so he says) . . It all went black right after that.
