I'm considering getting shot of some of my collection, trying to streamline a bit, so can anyone give me a guesstimate of what I might get for Imagine Magazine 1-30?
Mostly decent condition, not mint but no major faults

Ballpark figure just to see if it's worth my while

Cheers

Carl

I seem to recall losing a full set of Imagine magazines for around $200 a while back.

Yes, I sold my complete collection years ago for almost 150 pounds. Now I am attempting to put together one again    It was a great magazine, far better than Dragon  :P Brits surely know how to create magazines - the only one I read regularly (no, I'm not referring to game magazines, to general interest magazines   ) is British...

Imagine was a really great magazine.  I'll be selling a bunch of stuff soon, but not that set.

Was a great magazine, though early editions were inferior - I think that as time went on there was more confidence in the product.

That having been said, I have decided to offload them - In one lot I think, so I'll be rooting them out in the next few days and listing them on ebay (and at least re-reading Rubik of Moggedon one more time!)

Well, crazy... let's say aggressive  :D  I have a lot of issues already, so I'll recoup costs selling them    unless bidder 2 (whoever is) really, really wants the magazines and in that case Gyg will be thankful for my partecipation in this auction  :P

I admit to some surprise at the outcome of this auction! (what I mean is f** me blind over two hundred quid!!!)

At this price I am tempted to start getting another set together! (1,23,26,27 and 30 are on ebay as we speak)

Carl, superb return on the mags chummer. i was going to throw a bid in, but i would have been blown waaaaaay out of the water :)

i think thats a decent price though either way, due to the fact that you are not often (other than the odd time) going to come across a full set like that, especially in such nice condition either.

well done

Al

FWIW, when I mooted selling these a week ago, had someone had offered me £100, I would have torn their arm off for it!!

Guess I was wise to be the first in a while to sell a set

(and perhaps I won't collect another set after all!)

that's a kind of "prize for the idea"... and i would reccomend to collect them simply because they're nice... maybe within 3 years you caan decide to sell them again (but beware to be the first again!)... they're definitely worth to be in a collection!

i had them all years ago and had to sell them when i got divorced. barring the beholder fanzine (my fave), imagine was my next favorite thing.

i see these go cheap quite often and its always when i dont bid or cant be bothered, then when i want them, they always hike :)

typical :)
