Hi everyone,

In this collection that I recently acquired, there are a few empty boxes for Grenadier lead miniatures, like the Wizards set and Fighting Men-At-Arms.

I haven't examined them in great detail, but they seem to be intact, albeit a bit musty.

I was wondering if these might have any value to collectors out there?

Cheers,

Without the minis, not really... even though the artwork on the Grenadier gold boxes was very nice.

Really?  I'd think that there would be some miniature collector(s) out there who have the miniatures but no longer the boxes that they came in...  Ah well.

Any other thoughts/feelings/opinions out there??

What boxes John?  If you have all of the inserts, and the foam padding, and the boxes are in really good shape, I think you could get ~$5 each for the boxes from resellers, at least.

Somebody actually did try to sell a bunch of those empty boxes on ebay last year for $5 each. As I recall, they didn't sell.

I wouldn't mind buying them from you if they were in decent shape and complete, but not for $5.00.  I've got a bunch of loose minis without boxes.

I remember that auction and they didn't sell, which is why I thought it doubtful to get much for them.  You might find a reseller like Noble Knight who could use them to put together a set from loose minis...
