hi o studious ones...i wonder if someone can help me with details here, as i am unsure....

i have just listed this item:

** expired eBay auction **

i prb need to take it down and find some more info and put it up correctly really, but need help!

i have checked at Boardgame Geek:

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/26500

and this site:

http://www.tolkienlibrary.com/miscellan ... arfare.htm

neither of which, show a cover like mine? Also, inside the booklet, i can't find any date as to when the booklet is released. i've had a few Leicester Micro Model booklets and all seem to be 1976-78 but this one has me baffled now....

can anyone shine any further light on the matter?

If i am going to leave this auction up, i would rather have the right details on it, rather than the wrong ones etc.

many thanks

Al

Hey Al,

That looks like a 1st printing of the Wizard & Warfare book.  It looks like the Tome has pics of the other prints already too.  I can recall seeing only about 2 other copies of this for sale in recent memory.

I remember later prints selling in the $5-$25 range and think the 1st prints more in the $25 range.  But I think it is one of those items that will do much better once brought to peoples attention :)

Sometimes I feel like I am just out to lunch on these though.

well i am not really bothered about its value and stuff....as long as it sells, i am happy!

its just nice to have the right details on things....which was why i asked. i have also been e-mailed about this too, so have amended the auction with the right details.

thanks very much for the help - much appreciated!

Al

its actually quite amusing when you dont know these things. i just picked it up cos it looked cool! :)

its interesting reading considering how much they are nudging around the Tolkein world with it, without actually the Lord of the Rings names etc.

for instance Gandalf is Gandulf....wow that one didnt give it away :)
