Hi Folks,

Trying to determine value for an original Jade Hare "give-away" module from 1992. There haven't been any auctions on Ebay in months and I can't find *ANY* for sale via a search on google. I'm beginning to think $170 for a MINT Jade is waaaaay under-valued. Thoughts?

$150-$170 is about right.  If you have the cover you would get around $1700-$2000

Ummm, Frank just listed one not all that long ago here (just over 2 months ago now actually):

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0154093163

And his went for only $50.  It wasn't listed as perfect, but considering he posted it here in the classifieds, its not likely it snuck in under the radar either.  Granted, I would say that $50 was a disappointing result, but I'd also have to say it certainly supports thats its not worth $170 or more.  If one came up now I'd guess somewhere between $100-$115.

I sold one a wee while ago for $63

Although it was only in good condition (a few creases). A mint one might go for double.  There are concerns about copying, in that a notorious seller - much mentioned here - has offered copies for sale openly.

Thanks guys! I thought the rarity and condition might have a greater effect on the price. I'm going to list it and see what happens.  :D

May well have been.  I have had and sold two in the last while, both similar condition, so 50/50 chance.  :D

On the whole it is an OK little adventure - but I no longer have one in my collection, personally it isn't my favourite.  But still interesting to read  :D

I only have one left of the three that I have owned over time (it does have the TSR apology letter though :)).

Just as interesting is the full product Ivid the Undying in that thread.

I thought that it never got as far as a cover, but there it is.  I wonder how many actual fully covered products of it are out there as well?  I've never seen one for sale or even mentioned by someone that they owned one until now.

Based on the picture of it with the vertical black stripe on the spine, this looks like the way they printed the Daystar West products.  Prototype or homemade maybe?  It's definitely not the cover that was supposed to be used.  :?

I picked up my copy of Jade Hare late last year for $5.

So I'd be happy to pick up another one at that price

That copy of Ivid was discussed here as well (probably back in 2003 when the thread on RPG was active).  I believe the result in the end was that the copy was something the guy put together himself (rather than a TSR mock up).

There is this thread:

viewtopic.php?t=192

But I thought there was another one with more definitive proof its a fake.

The back of Ivid lists the U.K. office as well as Geneva, with three prices, if I read it correctly.

Ahh, you're right Mark.  I vaguely remember that thread now. It's all summed up here(at the very bottom):
