I have a hard cover PARANOIA book that simply says 1986 for the publication date.  The paper feels odd and a little heavy, not like regular book paper.  It's in fantastic shape, almost minty.  ISBN 1-869893-01-8 and says it is a Games Workshop Publication with a coyright of 1986 West End games Inc.  TM applied for.

Think this is worth anything?  I'm getting ready to put in on Ebay but don't want to start the bidding too low if it's anything like a rare or true first print.

I'm still waiting for the big PARANOIA collecting rush to hit as everyone loves the game but it's never taken off as a highly sought game. :?:

I just noticed, it says:

Printed in the U.K. under exclusive licence.

I suppose the Brits have a different way of spelling license.

Paranoia 1st edition was printed in 1984. Paranoia 2nd edition was printed in 1989. Sounds like you have a special UK release of the 1st edition, for those who could not get the US version.

Not sure if its worth anything special because of that, but its not directly released by WEG so its not a true 1st print of 1st edition, for certain.

Those who can, don't. Those who should not, do.

Wellll... actually the second edition was printed in 1987, boxed # 12001 (Wiki is wrong)... just as a speculation.. in the mid 80 the us exchange rate re aussie dollar when from something like 70 cents to 50 cents. Inaussie this resulted in the Jedco printing games in Australia instead of importing them from overseas (hence the aussie versions of the G series)... I think i may have exact date on the aussie printings somewhere (I see that its not noted)... anyway, yes looks like a UK print of the 1st ed...

Hey, I'm glad it hasn't hit yet as I'm only a few modules away from having all of them. :D

I only know that the GW/WEG Paranoia hardcover I have is second edition, if that helps any.
