I first got started collecting by having a bit of money in my PayPal account.  I bought and sold for a while and didn't really know what I was doing and why!  I now have a number of different items spread across AD&D 1E and Planescape in the main as well as lots of oddments.
I now think I know what I want to collect: 1E modules (TSR & non-TSR), but need some cash to get started again.  I might add, I've decided I'm not interested too much in value, more in getting items that I'll read and use in the future.  So what follows is a list of stuff I hope is worth a few pounds that I've decided I probably should not have bought in the first place.
In your opinon, what of the following would sell well at present and what would be best to keep for future or best to just bin (in the literal sense!)?
#17.5 War of the Witch Queen x3
#20.5 Mask of Death x2
Wizards Spell Compendium (1-4)
Priest Spell Compendium (1-2)
Planescape (various including Campaign Setting, Well of Worlds, In the Abyss, The Deva Spark, Tales from the Infinite Staircase, The Great Modron March, A Guide to the Astral Plane, Manual of the Planes, Doors to the Unknown, The Planewalker's Handbook and a few others)
Dragon Magazine CDs
Forgotten Realms Atlas (book)
OCE
It would be nice to get a couple hundred pounds or so, just to get me the cash to start bidding again without hassle from the missus!
All these items are in pretty good condition and clean.  I've always assumed that selling individually is best, but would this be the case for example with my Planescape stuff?
Thanks,
Jon

The DCC mods should sell well, and it looks like you've got a few of them.

I agree.  Just to break down what I would expect, assuming that are in at least Fine condition or better(all values in USD):

DCC #17.5 ---> $55 to $75 each
DCC #20.5 ---> $60 to $80 each
Wizards Spell Compendium (1-4) --->$60 to $80 for all 4
Priest Spell Compendium (1-2) ---> $25 to $40 for both
Dragon Magazine CDs ---> $80 to $130(realistically)
Forgotten Realms Atlas (book) ---> $15 to $25
OCE (the one I sold to you, damn you! :wink: ) ---> $80 to $125

Planescape:
Well of Worlds ---> $3 to $7
In the Abyss: ---> $3 to $7
The Deva Spark  ---> $3 to $7
Tales from the Infinite Staircase  ---> $15 to $20
The Great Modron March  ---> $3 to $7
Manual of the Planes  ---> $3 to $7
Doors to the Unknown  ---> $3 to $7
The Planewalker's Handbook  ---> $15 to $20
Campaign Setting  ---> $15 to $20
A Guide to the Astral Plane ---> $30 to $35

Hope that helps.  :)

BC's prices are right on target. The only one I'd adjust is the Planescape campaign set....those seem to be going in the $30 range now, I look at my last couple sold and they both went for $25+.

If you could find a Priest's Spell Compendium #3 for cheap, the complete set usually sells for about $100.  I would sell the spell compendiums as sets.

Thanks everyone,
Some great news on the prices.
I'll keep a look out for another Priests 3
I'll probably not need to sell the OCE, which I was only going to sell because I didn't think I'd get that much for some of the other stuff.
Only problem is the exchange rate, I see its 2USD to 1GBP.  Have any of the UK buyers/sellers noticed a change in either selling to or buying from US, or has the exchange rate been about this for a while anyway?  Certainly I remember it being much more favourable to me selling when I sold my ST1!
Cheers,
Jon

Confound it, bclarkie . . . I wanted DCC 17.5 and 20.5; your prices priced it beyond what I could handle!! :)  :) Seriously, I think I would agree with bclarkie's range given the rarity of both DCC's.

John...bumping this up to see if there are any auctions forthcoming, or has the exchange rate scared you off?   :D

The DCCs will catch a lot of attention, I'm sure.

The exchange rate is no good for UK sellers ATM. A good time to buy from the States though.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I've assumed the sort of stuff I'm going to sell is not going to sell to US anyway, due to very high postage costs from our end and quite a lot of it is quite bulky.  I am too busy (lazy) to get on with putting on to eBay at the moment, although the DCCs have already gone!  Anyone else is welcome to make me any offers on the other stuff!
In relation to buying, I've started looking at US auctions more seriously to buy as they seem to be offering much better value and often at postage costs not much different to those I'd have to pay within the UK!
