Now at $1,091, still 14 hours to go.
I thought it would break a grand easily - it's in the best condition I've ever seen for a black folder Vampire Queen.
I wonder where it will end up?
Regards
Mike

I've seen a shrinked one that was pretty mint. This one is definitely nice, though.
If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

Too rich for my blood. Good luck to those who are planning to be there at the end!

I would have gone to about $1,101 - it does look lovely - but too much for moi.

I don't generally get too worked up about high prices for high end items (knowing my own tendency to over-spend when I get excited
), but even this seems off the screen to me.
Congrats to Andy. This has completely blown away my own naive expectations!
As a side note, if this turns out to be a replacement copy for someone who already owns a foldered PoVQ, let me be the first to step forward and offer (generously) to buy the copy they're replacing.

Congrats lord overkill (whoever that is) and to Andy - I'm sure you are happy with this outcome!!
An interesting cloak and dagger auction, with see saw action and bizarre quad and quint stacking strategies!!

That name (lordoverkill) sounds familiar, but I can't remember why. Have they been a member here?

Thank you for the kinds notes. I have made contact with the buyer and am waiting to hear back. Needless to say, the auction went higher than I anticipated. I agree that it was an odd auction. I have never seen so many folks bid early and then have absolutely no sniping at the end. No complaints, mind you, but it was odd. The stacked bids strategy was taken to a level I have never seen!
Thank you to everyone that commented on this thread and helped me prepare for the auction. I am very happy to be sending this item to someone that will truley appreciate it in a way I just can't.
