Don't know of any apart from those guys here. One of my friends was a rabid Cthulu collector, but he's really cooled over the last few years.

Maybe us guys can arrange to get together at the Con next year?

Be a short-ish trip for you eh Brette?

I read about that but can't find the reference - there is going to be an international convention here, right? That would be great. I have not been to a convention for years as I haven't played for years. It would be good to meet some other serious collectors.

Gen Con Brisbane....

Brisbane, Australia - Eventions Creative Event Management Pty Ltd announced
that they have signed a license agreement with Gen Con LLC to run the
internationally popular Gen Con event in Australia. The event is scheduled
to launch on the 3rd July 2008 for four days at the Brisbane Exhibition and
Convention Centre, Brisbane, Queensland.

Gen Con is a gaming convention which started in the USA approximately 40
years ago in Lake Geneva as a meeting between friends to play games. Today
that name lives on in the gaming industry with conventions run in
Indianapolis (USA), California (USA), Paris (France), and the United
Kingdom. Gen ConT conventions attract over 60,000 people world wide, and
host a large array of events including Anime, Board Games, Collectible Cards
and Miniatures Games, Computer Games, Miniature War Gaming and Role Playing
Games. The convention also includes a trade show for the Gaming, Anime and
Comic industries.

Ian Houlihan, co-director of Eventions Creative Event Management said, "Gen
ConT is considered legendary amongst Australian gamers, so bringing it to
Australia will be a dream come true for most. It will allow them for the
first time to experience the atmosphere and buzz that Gen ConT is renowned
for and why it is aptly referred to as 'The Best Four Days in Gaming'T."

Brisbane has on its door step some of Australia's most popular tourist
attractions including the Gold Coast, Movie World, Dream World, Sea World,
Underwater World and Australia Zoo, home to 'The Crocodile Hunter'- Steve
Irwin. Mr Houlihan went further saying "We not only picked this time of year
to coincide with the school holidays throughout Australia, but to link into
the timing of vacations for many of our overseas guests. We therefore hope
to encourage all gamers across the world to come to Queensland to enjoy what
Brisbane has to offer and to get their 'gaming fix' as well".

Eventions Creative Event Management has established a website
www.genconoz.com with more information. Alternatively you can contact the
organisers at [email protected].

Brendon. That's a helluva lot more than just one SW'd oB3.
Excellent job on the "study" and a superb, quality collection - good luck with the spaces you appear to have left (Inverness?).

Yeah, been going a bit strong since then, though I made a mistake when I said I bought it from Paul.

It actually came from a guy called Josh (zzyllan76) back in Aug 2003 for just under $800 (S/W'd). :)

Always looking for a couple of items (including  Inverness) :)

My fears are:

1. fire
2. the dog (I have watched him pull all the tissues from a kleenex box and tear them to shreds one at a time) he is banned from certain areas of the house.
3. my better half tossing some items in her effort to do a spring clean (she has been warned)

Hopefully the doors and cupboards will protect them, plus each is bagged and boarded. Not really in any major flood areas. fire would definitely be a problem.

Dog can't get into this side of the house, but would have to be very smart to open the doors - or driven by the devil to destroy the items

Wife knows roughly how mush is involved (but no specifics) as she updates the insurance every so often. She's wanted me to write the prices they're worth on my spreadsheet in case I kick the bucket.

If she found out how much I've spent, she'd kill me for sure   Best to give some info, but not too much

Did he collect any CoC con modules at all?

Not sure. He's got a truck-load of items. I'd have to see next time I speak to him.

Getting him to sell/trade would be nearly impossible -they're like his children or something

If I find out anything I'll PM you direct.
