Several of you have expressed an interest in manuscripts, unpublished stuff, etc.

I only have a little, plus all my old first dungeons and maps, plus some "Set the Scene" pieces.

BITD, when we used our Imaginations, it was kind of a one-up thing to write a good scene setting for starting a radically new adventure or beginning a new campaign. I found two of them.

I even found my old leather briefcase from those days that still has an old TSR Periodicals card of mine in the ID slot.

Here's my pitch:

For ten years, I have been heavily involved with a non-profit service organization called FISHING HAS NO BOUNDARIES.

http://www.fhnbcinti.com/index.html
http://www.fhnbinc.org

This organization is very dear to my heart; I spend countless hours willingly each year with this. Check it out.

OK, what's this got to do with anything? This:
I will pack up all my old dungeons, the orig. ms. for the Nautiloids, whatever odd maps don't go with a complete set that I sell, a wad of old odd dice, and I'll put them all in my old leather briefcase, which is pretty cool by itself. (I'll list and photo all of it  when this goes up for bids, and include an old photocopy of my letter of resignation from TSR, to boot.)

I will then have a Double Silent Auction and I pledge to donate the proceeds to my chapter of FHNB.

Check out the websites; be warned, you may have to see one or more pictures of me doing nice things, going against my reputation for curmudgeonly behavior.

Then, make a bid on the lot. I will tell everyone that isn't high bid, and they can have one more shot. I won't say what the bid is, or it wouldn't be Silent. The previous high bidder, if surpassed, will get the same notification and re-bid chance.

I'll figure the shipping to wherever you are, add it to the winning bid, and it's yours.

You get a shot at some quirky stuff, and I make a little $$ for my organization. WIN-WIN. You can even write it off as a charitable donation because you are not receiving anything in return with an easily ascertainable value.

Shouldn't this be in Classifieds?

Tim---

Would it be possible to donate to FWB directly, and to provide proof to you of the donation?  If I do that, I'll be more-in-the-clear for the tax write-off, and I can also get my employer (Juniper Networks) to match the gift for up to an additional $1000 in value.

I am certain that I could work something out whereby you send a check to my chapter of FISHING HAS NO BOUNDARIES, and my chapter (me, actually as I am the Sec'y) will provide you with a copy of our 501(3)C documentation, and a letter acknowledging and thankig for your donation on our chapter's letterhead.. We do that now for large donors that use the write-off.

All the $$ ultimately belongs/goes to the national organization of which we are but one chapter. However, as the bylaws are set up, our $$ stays in our accounts, for our usage. And we are already one of the better chapters at finding $$... I would be tickled beyond belief to be able to account for a nice fat donation just before our annual Convention in Hayward WI the end of the third week of April. I would be so tickled that I would dash off a personal thanks on one of my old, personal memo sheets (green paper, green ink, Orig. Dragon logo of TSR Periodicals).

Beside letters of provenance, everyone from this group that bought something from me is already going to get one of those... Oops, the cat just escaped the sack...

Thanks for the earlier reply, Tim.  Can you please also provide a little more detail on these items:

5 Sheets (no cardboard) Game Ref. Sheet 1976

In terms of maps/pages in the dungeons, number of pages in the mss., any details about the tourneys (names, levels, character names, etc.)?

Thanks!

This from the Satchel of Booty thread

The Ruins of Kwalishar was my campaign that we played in in college (pre TSR with Tom Wham), and then in Lake Geneva as a change to Greyhawk, etc.

Kontiva is a dungeon built with underground geomorphs; sort of a campaign within a campaign

Nautiloids is 1+ pages typed, original ms that was used in a module or tournament, I don't remember which.

Hall of Wonders is orig. ms.; this was also used in a module.

You must remember that as Dragon Mag got bigger, it consumed more of my time, and I was less actively involved in AD&D. Brian asked me for one of my really complex "rooms" for a tournament module, I think.

Also in the Satchel of Loot are two or three of the "Scripts" that we used to set up campaigns or adventures.

The character sheets are unnamed-we let participants choose/use whatever name they wanted. Often, they registered as a team, all knowing each other from other venues.

The five sheets are Game Ref. Sheets Players dated 1976

Auction now open on that thread, closes Wed. PM

Because of my screw-ups, I am extending the deadline to Thursday evening, same time.

If you have questions about the pics, e-mail me direct at [email protected]
Both links about my organization are now working.

Tim,
What about that woodgrain box holding up the DM screen?  Is that for sale?
