I tried looking in here, but I was unsuccessful.

I looked at the listed values on this site and it lists this as a rare 2 with a mint price of about $45.

I am watching the one on ebay now

http://cgi.ebay.com/AD-D-Silver-Anniver ... dZViewItem

The auction is already at $92 with over a day left.  Are these really that expensive now and what should I expect to see it go for?  What would price difference be if it was opened and everything inside was still in NM condition (which is what I really want anyways)?

Thanks ahead of time for any responces.

This can be a fun item to track because (at least in my research) it can be unpredictable. I've seen surges and lulls over the past year or so (and much the same when the L3 is sold separately). It's current position at $92 is certainly neither the highest or lowest figure the SA boxed set has ever sold for.

And what's up with the Coug? $91 is a very un-kitty-like figure — I would have had him pegged at his usual $88 or $99.

+++++

edit: he did extend a paw at $88; I see that now.

I bought mine, in excellent condition, for $85 Cdn (~$70 US) last year.

Picked one up last month at a book store in Bridgewater Mass.  for  round $50 ( all rpgs are 20% + tax ). It's the third ( and last ) that I picked up from the same store.

There were a couple on the shelves of a store in New Bedford last year but they wouldn't discount em and have since tanked....no idea if they ever sold em :(

The valuations on the board are historic, not contemporary.  I would never use it for a pricing guide.  That is not its function.

If you can get one in the shrink for under $100, do so. The last one I sold went for over $100.

In the next few years they will encroach on the $150 range and possibly $200. There seem to be many more collectors hitting ebay over the last few six months and items like this will increase as more and more are stored away in collector boxes.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Yep.  This one has been going up steadily over the last year.  I keep trying to score them cheap, and keep failing miserably.  :)

Mine would probably be a good gauge of current value, I'd guess.
