Well it is either a 4th print or 5th print (book only) (though 1st - 3rd printings of this are pre-Judges Guild)
To determine what you have check near the back of the book for, in this case, photos of covers for other Judges Guild products. If you have a photo of #240 Fantasy Cartographer's Field Book its a 5th, if you have a #52 Thieves of Fortress Badabaskor its a 4th.
To a collector that may help price, but otherwise the book could fetch a few dollars (though the sellers on this board maybe better able to provide you a price)

That is a later reprint of the original convention modules. The one you have is quite common. The older versions (red/green covers) are frustratingly rare. With perhaps arguably the worst cover art of all gaming products anywhere.....

Is the original a one part tourney, or does it have a preliminary round and a final round? Could you give us a scan of the first title page? Who is the author? Bob Blake?

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

That red copy is the image of Matthais courtesy of Hamburd university's server.

We went through all this some time back with Burntwire, Inc. I can't remember what we figured out. My memory isn't too good these days. IIRC ( ), Burntwire had a coverless edition that may or may not have been the original tourney.

I think the red and green cover are nearly identical save printing notations. I do own the green cover item if I can help further.

Holy Carp!! What a nice plug that turned out to be.

Anyone know where that original thread went to? I would like to re-read it to refresh my memory. Maybe it was within a different thread?

Does this copy, or the green cover copy have the final round in it, or are they both just the preliminary round?
