I got the following boxed sets and was wondering what I should put on them when I try to sell them at a comic book show next month:

Star Frontiers - books and map in NM condition, there's no dice and I think that most of the counters are there in a plastic baggie, box has light wear.

Aftermath (Fantasy Games Unlimited) - box has some wear with 1 corner open, all books are in NM condition and the counters are unpunched.

Deck of Priest Spells (TSR, AD&D 2nd Edition) - box has light wear, not sure how many cards it's supposed to contain, includes Spring/Summer 1992 catalog and green customer response card.

I'll also be asking about board games next week.

Thanx!

For Star Frontiers, is that Alpha Dawn or Knight Hawks that you have?

Star Frontiers is still pretty popular, but even so the prices won't go more than $15.  Aftermath probably won't go for more than $10.

I can't pin a value on the Deck of Priest Spells.

Not sure on Star Frontiers which version. It says "First Printing July, 1982" on the bottom of the first page of the basic Game Rules book.

Thanx!

Deck of Priest Spells should go between $10 and $15 depending on condition.

Here is a recent auction where I sold both sets (Knight Hawks and Alpha Dawn).  Between the pics and my description, you should get a good idea on the contents.

(Note - I only got $5.50 for both sets, but they had been sitting on my shelf for over 18 months as I could never get around to verifying their contents.  I started the bidding low rather than setting a high minimum as I just wanted them gone . . .)

As I can see it, the set I have is neither of those. It has the same contents as Alpha Dawn, but the box and the books are blue instead of pink.

Hope this helps.

Thanx!

You have the "second edition" of the Star Frontiers rules then . . . basically the same, but it has different cover art.

IMO, you might be able to get a bit more for the Aftermath than $10, especially if it is in great condition.  I look for Aftermath items quite often and the box set will sometimes go between $20 - $30 as was the case here:

Role Playing Games | eBay

Different printing went for a bit less (UK auction):

PS3 RPG Games | eBay

Thank you, everyone. I have a pretty good idea on what I'll put on Star Frontiers and Aftermath. The Deck of Priest Spells is another thing entirely. I saw the store on eBay that's selling a complete set for $5.50. :( Maybe I should just pack these away for a decade or two? :)

Alpha Dawn is the roleplaying game.  Knight Hawks is the ship combat game.  In later printings, the two could be told apart very easily by the fact they were labeled.

Your box cover, is it blue or pink?

Dark Purple to me, but could be blue.
