Here I am - a lurker who finally comes out into the open.
I recently cracked open my earliest D&D binders to find a Palace of the Vampire Queen module that's been tucked away since I first got it that long ago summer of '76.
So I've ogled it, love it and all, but... it's time to part with it. So I'm looking for any advice on how best to market it, along with several other early pieces I have (nothing else of any great value, I think.)
Is ebay the best option? I'd rather not just throw it up there; I'd really appreciate any suggestions, tips or leads on other forums like this one (fantastic!) where I might be able to announce pieces I'd be selling.
[ If I'm wrong to post this question here, just let me know and I'll fall into line. ]
And since I guess not many of us have seen one of these, I'd be glad to answer any questions I can.
DETAILS: This is a genuine, 2nd-printing (I believe) of the module. The front page is the yellow one shown in the Acauem as a 1st-print, but from reading the information in "The Bella PoVQ" thread, it sounds like a 2nd printing? The color is actually a SLIGHTLY neon-yellow-green hue. There's no original bag or folder, but all pages are in nearly flawless condition, EXCEPT that 11 of the 17 pages (the
DM descriptions and maps) were all 3-hole punched. Reinforcing rings were also (neatly) applied to the backside of each hole, so there's no ripping or extra wear.
Thanks for any answers, and thanks for all the information that's been shared on these forums - I'm sure there are a lot of others who lurk and enjoy your writings as much as I have.
Arcane P.S. - I think this piece would have come from D&J Hobby in
San Jose, California, where I lived in the '70s.
