Hello everyone.

I just bought a lot on eBay and found a nice surprise inside and am trying to get an estimate on what it's worth and whether,if I decide to sell, to do so apart or as alot.

I just recently won a lot of CSIO,Mayfair version, 6 of the the 8 box sets.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5168232642

Inside the main box were the following,all from Judge's Guild;

DM's map for Tegel Manor,1977

Original CSIO,revised, with all maps.Believe it's the 2nd print. 1978 (brown background with red lettering)

Wilderlands of High Fantasy,1st print with 2 16 page books and maps 1-5. 1977

Fantastic Wilderlands Beyonde,1st print with maps 7-10. 1978

Wilderlands of the Magic Realm,1st print(?) with maps 11-14. 1979.

Afterglow states that this is pretty rare but not how much it would be worth.

All items are in VG to Fine shape and I would rate them higher except that the maps have some pen markings on them from use in someone's campaign.

Thanks for any and all help

Michael

Not sure about the values, but I think there are some auction prices posted here:

Judges Guild Codex...Every item produced in the 70's-80's

As for this one:

Is it something you'd be willing to part with?  Been looking for that one for some time...

In the present climate you should be able to get a fair bit for those.

Wilderlands of High Fantasy 1st Edition $60 (I'd be willing to give you that as a BIN if you sold it)
Wilderlands of the Magic Realms 1st Edition $80
Wilderlands Beyonde $30
Revised City State of the Invincible Overlord 1st Edition $80

That' a damned good haul you got there.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Think those sound a bit high, phps, but definitely better sold individually, Michael. Greetings, btw...!

There was almost zero interest in the lot when it was posted, and ended up going for less than one member offered off-eBay, IIRC. ;)

Prices have gone up a bit in the past two months, David. I'm sure they will fall again soon.
FWIW I sold my 1st Edition Magic Realms for $138 4-6 weeks ago. I realise that is excessive, but it is a reflection of the present distortion in the market.

That lot was only up for sale last month. Prolly a few people kicking themselves, though, I'd've thought!

Surely not just yourself and Alan causing that?? :o :P
Better get those "extras" you've got coming in back online asap, then! :D

(Yeah, I go by longer-term prices, I s'pose; but truth-be-told JG has been a lot more "creditable" the last couple of years than it has been for a long time.
All those cheap SW'd later copies are probably helping rekindle demand for the rarer stuff, too).

A LITTLE high? I would think twice about paying 1/2 those prices. Maybe it is in demand, but I got all my stuff years ago. Just like everything else, the prices will go down.

You're right. It's just demand at the moment. There is a flourish of new collectors bringing new money to the market, and the look and feel of the old JG stuff is just right to spark the collecting bug. I just happen to have migrated to the more expensive stuff, but for most folks JG stuff is just what they're looking for.

Not sure about selling yet, but trying to get some things together for auction in a few weeks. I've got almost full runs of modules/rules for "The Fantasy Trip" and "Marvel Super Heroes" I want to put up for auction as well.
