I was a retail bookstore manager for over 20 years, and ended up with a fair number of TSR promotional items, catalogs, etc. Most of the items I have sold off over the years, but I still have a small number of things including this VHS promotional tape from 1994.  I've kept an eye out for any showing up on eBay, but I have yet to see one pop up.  Google searches yield no info as well.   Anyone have any thoughts about it?  Is it rare?  Worthless?  Any thoughts are much appreciated.  Thanks!

I've seen the book form for that year but never the vhs tape. Very nice!
I'm sure there are buyers out there for it.
What other left over promo items do you have? I like to see what items I am still missing

I remember that tape from managing a large game store (that was masquerading as a small distributorship) at that time. I'm sure many (if not most) were thrown away eventually after sitting around unwatched for awhile. I would give you $100 for it, some might give more.

It's probably just me, but in your position I would have it digitized, post it to YouTube, then add the tape to my collection.

The important thing to me is that the content is preserved. VHS tapes last considerably less time than paper products, even if they are well kept. It's possible (but unlikely) that the contents are already lost.

If you're not the collecting type, others here would surely bid on that item, myself included.

Ditto!

And, in case you arr not collecting: put it on ebay with a detailed description and as many pics as you can... You will be surprised by the money you will get! Recent prices are crazy in these days... We are likely hitting the high of the current "wave"... Therefore, go and ride that wave!

I assume someone here will know how to convert VHS to mp4, but I'd imaging you'd need a specialist, or a VHS player and a cable from Chengdu.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

You need some hardware in or between the computer and of course a VHS player.  It isn't overly difficult to do the conversion but you do need to have the equipment and know what you are doing.

Its a little pricey but it works extremely well.  Easy to setup and use.  I got one and love it for converting all my Hi8 family videos.

I can't vouch for this specific model but the ratings are pretty good and it's much more affordable.

I have this one and one labelled Dragonstrike commercials but I don't have a working VHS player so have never been able to watch them.
