I think this is a MM 3rd Print Alpha.

Is it possible the red lettering on the spine has faded so much it looks white?

book meets all other qualities...copyright 3rd ed. dec 1978, red flyleaves, wizard logo, etc

SORRY FOR POOR PIC QUALITY

Looks like sun damage/fading to me.

Available now from Die Cast Games: Night of the Black Swords by Allen Hammack (Author of C2-The Ghost Tower of Inverness) with artwork by Jeff Easley and Diesel.
