very good question.  the films are on the outside of a diffused white plastic sheet maybe 1/8" thick.  I'm using an over the counter LED bulb which stays pretty cool.  I just turn it on now and then just for fun.

Hi Community .. just as an FYI, I uncovered the Kodak Films .. again :). Just put Green Lady film on eBay.  Best viewed on diffused back lit device like an old X-Ray light box.  They are stunning in every way.  Contact with any questions.  All my best
