This was a GameMaster Publication (GM5) It is a 40 page AD&D adventure. I am guessing it is before Sargent was employed by TSR. (When did he get hired at Games Workshop?) It has a tear in the top left and bottom left corner of the binding and has a small dog ear on the upper right corner.

Anyone own this?

Yes. They come up once in a while, primarily in the UK. The earlier ones in that series command a higher price. Not too long ago near minty-fresh ones were sold. I think it was burntwire?

Here's the complete series if anyone is interested:

GM1 A Flight Of Eagles
GM2 Find The Lady
GM3 In Search Of New Gods
GM4 The Awakening
GM5 Rod Of Seraillan

They are odd-sized modules so don't expect them to fit into a conventional bag. They are also rather good, at least in my opinion.

I think its a good module and an interesting stepping stone in Carl Sargents design career.

I own the other issues as well, but I felt this one may have some special interest for Sargent fans. Fans who are often Greyhawk fans or Warhammer RPG fans.

But hey I own the Shroud of Madness, I like Sargents stuff.

Me too.  It's decent, though not as well-written as Sargent's later work.

I have one too (I have all 1-5)

And I was a player character in it about 17 years ago.

Welcome to Tesco.net
might be of some use in locating the Rod.

Now that is a bit of a surprise.  I wonder if they have rules for Kaissa (Gorean Chess) in there.

Malcolm, are GM1 and GM2 really that much more valuable than 3,4 and 5?

GM1 has been going for about $25-30 lately. GM2 for about half that. GM3-5 you can pock up for about $5 a piece.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.
