Hi All!

Is $100 too high a price for a minty Starstone? I'd prefer a beat-up one as I plan to use it for gaming, but none seem to ever come up.

Not an outrageous price. The original author sold a few a couple of years ago and the price dropped down to around 50/60/70 USD but since then it has crept back up. Depends on condition, personally I would expect it to be pretty nice at that price. Obviously make sure that the map is there but also ask about staples. I have not seen many (any?) that do not have heavily rusted staples with paper stain on the inside (even coming out of shrink). Of course if you're going to game with it that is less of a issue :)

Careful of map  condition as it's bigger than the booklet.
Think $100 is probably okay for a minty one, might be your only option as they don't seem to come along  very often anymore.

Thanks, guys. I really just want a play copy, but even that would be pricey.

I think so. I would have been happy to help you out back in the day when I had half a dozen. Now they are all gone ... spent it on a pram and a big pile of nappies < cute baby emoji here >

Hi Deadlord,

Here is the most recent sale from my Watch List on eBay:

It does not appear to have the map, but looked to be in pretty decent shape, so the $60-70 range is a fair assessment of market price.

I think I will wait until a dog-shredded copy shows up. Occasionally I get the bug to get a play copy of a rare item and before I pull the trigger I remind myself of the fact that I have hundreds of items I have never used. It would be like Hugh Hefner getting married, a foolish move.
