Not much.  I have all of these except Traps Ate, and they don't really sell for much more than cover price, at best.

I have all of them. I found most of them cheap on Amazon and Half.

i've had these books quite a few times. THey are genuinely great fun to utilise in games, and do sell quite well (for me anyways)....they never sell for a lot but for me i always get around £3-£6 pretty much every time.

Are we nearly there yet?

Thread resurrection, just because the exact title I needed already existed...

Anyone know which of these is the first printing (note different logos):

As a guess, the Task Force Games with bubble logo and Blade logo is first, then TFG with square logo then FBI.  For other books like the Citybooks, the Blade editions came before the FBI versions.

I take that back, the Blade ones are probably later and the FBI only is probably the first.

Actually, taking a look at my copy, I have the one with the FBI logo on front and it is also a Blade production.  It also states 2nd printing 1990.

So final guess, is:

1 - TFG bubble logo
2 - FBI only logo
3 - TFG square box logo

My copy is also with the FBI logo (as on index-rpg picture), stated 2nd print.

For Traps Too, it is the same logo, cover like this one:
** expired/removed eBay auction **

but dated from 1982 and probably a 1st print. So it is strange that this logo was not used for a 1st print for Trap Fore.

That's definitely not the first print of Traps Too.

FASA

And looking further down on Ian's page, I see more versions of Ate than I expected.  *sigh*  This is going to be a mess.

Yes, the mono version are previously published. I forgot them both in my list of prints.
Actually there are the 1st print, for 1 and 2. The Traps TOO is stated First print, october 1982. So the color version has been published in the 2 remaining months.
But, in contrary that what is written in Ian's site, it was not Published in 1982 by Flying Buffalo Inc., Scottsdale, Arizona, but was published in UK, Millington York Ltd, West Midlands. The othe print was published in UK, as well.

And I forgot that there is a monochrome print of Traps Fore too. So Mars and I copies came after this monochrome version. Which is now more understandable.

1 - Mono print
2 - FBI only logo
3 or 4 - TFG bubble logo
3 or 4 - TFG square box logo

I think the monochrome versions of Traps Too and Traps Fore and both UK prints not US so are probably later releases.

Traps ONE, mono is copyrighted 1981, and published in UK. Colored print, with FBI logo only, is published in UK too.

For Traps TOO, mono print is copyrighted 1982, as colored print... They are both published in UK.

For Traps FORE, mono print is published in 1986, in US, and have the Square TFG logo. The colored print, with FBI logo only is stated 2nd print [EDIT: copyright 1990], in US too.

I can't find any other reference to Fore having a mono version.  Is it full size or a digest?

Thanks.

Let me put that together with everything else I've found.  I think that may be the key to figuring out the order!

They are UK digest size so A5.  Are the UK versions really the first printings or just first UK printings (the T&T items have both US and UK printings as well with different numberings)?  It seems strange to me that UK printings would come before the first US print.
