Was wondering about shrinkwrap and if there were markers to watch for in determining original from 3rd party shrinkwrap. I am including photos of an item that first made me question this.

The few bookstores I have worked for would, at times, perform a second SW on an item if returned, in mostly perfect condition, and the product had originally been in SW. The difference could typically be told by observing the looser folds of the plastic and the seam, which was often thicker than a factory or press SW.

Does this hold true of TSR items? Or was there enough variation in physical presses to make the differences unusable for determining SW.

Looks like a rewrap to me. I believe it should be a tight fit and the wrap should be a thin plastic sheeting rather than bag.

Thanks, I was thinking the same. I have heard of SW being loose, but not bag-like. And as I mentioned the seams are a bit too thick. At least that's what I thought of from my bookstore experience.

Not for TSR, but bag-like would be a good description for some JG and Ozzie Gs & Ds, for example.
