I stumbled upon a Dragonlance map and two different sets of runic and storytelling dice.
I found the dice to be
OP on the publisher's website, but was curious as rarity. I like storytelling dice and like to use them. However I would feel irresponsible for tossing about something, that while not expensive may still be rare and handled as such.
Primarily I am interested in the map. As you can see from the pics it's in rough shape. Enough so that I plan on leaving it in its tube until I can find the money to have it archival framed.
So three questions:
1. How rare are the dice?
2. What is the source of the map and might it be common enough to find another copy in better condition.
3. I have a fetish for maps and was wondering if anyone in the community has tried to do any restoration work on them. Frankly does anyone do archival restoration work on any of the items that we collect.
Obviously a restored work would never be the same as a pristine original, but as these become more difficult to obtain has anyone had a frank discussion about longer term presevation?
(Having trouble uploading, will create imgur links and post those.)
