Does it seem like the demand for rare and higher end items has improved this year?

IMO that would probably have been a "yes" - not only for rare/higher end items - even before the current timeframe which is more typically a trough for prices, just before GenCon.

if it's one thing i've learned, people will pay if they want it. hopefully the bidder that wins pays for it. that would suck if it was a non paying bidder.

i think I personally would have done a BIN with a high price and accepted offers. but that's just me and a strategy that's worked in the past for me
