Hi everyone, appreciate thoughts on this... I picked up a 3.0 PH with various signatures (Kim Mohan, Monte Cook, many others) and dated 'Gen Con 2000'.

Regular PH or something special?  I wonder if anyone can recall if there was an arranged signing or if these were sold otherwise in any particular manner?  If this one was bought and signed at GC 2000 I would assume there'd be many more like it.

Thanks in advance!

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Rather impressive collection of signatures there.

It does indeed make sense, since the 3rd edition made its debut at Gen Con 2000.  The Player's Handbook was the actual book they sold at Gen Con that year, so they had a lot of the contributors present.

Thanks dbartman!

I've decided it belongs in my collection... even without explicit provenence, it makes sense that this book was bought/signed as a new release for GC 2000,  that makes it special enough for me :)

I've got no idea whose signatures those are at the top though  :?

The one with the "2000" under it is Scott M. Fischer.  Nice little fish skeleton on the end there.  He did some of the interior art.

I believe the top one is Henry G, Higgenbotham's signature, the cover artist.  Rather unique.

I had one very much like that, sigh.  Mine had Dave Arneson's signature and a few others.  If I remember correctly, everyone was in the dealers room at different booths (or tables) and you walked around and had everyone sign you wanted to.
