IMO, you should go for an exact reproduced facsimile of the original. This should (hopefully) get you around any latent IP issues with TSR's infringed IP. Or at least brush it away as an excuseable oversight, I'm sorry, won't do it again, Sir. Reservation only, signed, numbered etc.

Then I'd go for a colour cover, rewrite to comply with OGL, and bring it into the Pacesetter product range much akin to the revist of PotVQ etc.

I had suggested splitting the project and having the facsimile done as part of NTRPGCon's works, as I believe both products are viable, but having both under the one publishing house I suppose makes some form of commercial sense to which I am not aware.

Good luck folks. As a former owner of an original RD1, I don't feel the need for a limited edition reprint, but you can put me down for a standard edition rewrite, and good luck with these endeavors, Bill.

If you are looking to for artwork please check out the vast amount of public domain artwork before settling for any crap artwork that might be in your budget.

I may not have been clear enough but this exactly the intent of the first print run, limited or otherwise. The second print would get the Pacesetter treatment.
By facsimile, I am saying PDF inserts of the original book exactly as presented in the original book. The only difference is that the final product would be in standard module form. The cover would be an exact duplicate of the original with small addition of product info. I have not seen an original so I have no idea what the format is...but I will do everything possible to maintain the originally integrity.

The second print, and all the sequel modules will be designed in standard Pacesetter format.

I hope this clears things up a little.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

I voted limited, but whatever the case, I'm still in for two.

Looks like the voting is going towards the best of both worlds  :D

Please reserve two (2) copies of the exact replica and then please put me down for a full run of the Pacesetter version of RD1-RD7 ...   PDT_Armataz_01_11

We will definitely being producing the limited Acaeum version. I am leaving this thread open until next Monday. At that point, no further orders will be taken.
In case some people miss this thread, I am sending an email out regarding the project to all known Acaeum members on my Pacesetter mailing list. Even if you already confirmed in this thread, you will also get a copy of the email. I am putting together a group contact so I can then just update and send details as we move forward.
At this point, I think I am comfortable with the numbers and I am locking the price at $35 which includes domestic shipping. International orders will be adjusted and will include the difference from domestic shipping - about a $4 discount on overall shipping.
