Howdy all, what is your opinion on the possible value of a copy in Fiine conditions of each of these items:

* "You bet your life" (1979, sold at Michcon VIII)
* "The temple of Azathor" (1983, sold at Wizard Con)

Thanks a lot and ciaooo

I thought I saw a YBYL come up a couple months ago. The starting price was way too high. I do not think it sold. As a side note, I played in that tourny! There was a sequel to it: YBYL II

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

I want to say it was around $300 or $350 which seemed too high.

I'd like to know what that module (series) is about... like a gauntlet? A trial? Just normal hunt and kill monsters?

There are some pics here:

YBYL and YBYLA (and UEW too) have that Metro Detroit Gamers connection from around the same time as Fazzlewood and Tsojcanth - okay a few years later but they are still relatively early.

I think Kynan still has his YBYLA up for $250 which I think is a good price.  YBYL is earlier and rarer.

ok, thanks to all! ref to YBYL, while Mars say smtg more than 250, Bill instead thinks smtg lower than 300... so the value, according to the conditions is between 250 and 300 bucks! is that a correct deduction?

...and what about the other module?!?

thanks and ciaooo

bear in mind, you can think the price is what it "might" be all day, but until some sell, you won't really know for sure.....

if kynan had one for sale and it didnt sell....then that might be considered too much....but what the price might be, below that, it could be a little or a lot :)

nice item though!

Al

I think I still have Temple of Azathor. IIRC, I had two copies and sold one a while back. No idea what it is worth.

I purchased a copy from you 10 years ago, for $4, and sold it back in 2009 for about 30 euros.

You're right, it's Temple of Andar I have. No, no AG mods, Trav, I haven't had any of those for quite a while. I was never a big fan of them for some reason.

Lo and behold, I did indeed find a copy of Azathor! Naturally, it was in the worng place; it ended up with my T&T stuff. It is a 1983 WizardCon module.
