Looks like a first print alpha to me.  And in spectacular condition.  You have a beautiful piece, there.

Nice looking set indeed. Darned lucky that the apparent - and relatively easily overlooked - insect damage to the side label doesn't extend to the front. Or is there a spot to the top of that label?

A head-on scan of the U&WA would be appreciated to compare against viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1941&p=21767#p21767 , please. (And/or any comments from other early 1st print owners, as I still wasn't sure whether there might be a subdivision amongst those).

Which is the short book on the last pic, btw?

In photo #6, in the Afterwards section, it appears that there are two word which are underlined. Not having one of these sets, is this a "printed" underlining or something that someone did with a pen or pencil?
