This is my collection, or should I say accumulation.  Most of this stuff was purchased when the products were new.  I don't use any of it any more.  Since it all sits in boxes, I am trying to decide if I want to keep dragging it around, or should I sell it to someone who may appreciate it more.  My son plays a little 4th Edition but doesn't seem interested in the older stuff right now.  The grading where present is approximate and based more or less on comic book grading.  The older books and materials are stored in comic book bags.  (My accumulation of board games is also pretty large if anyone is interested.)

TSR

Original D & D, 2nd print        Vertical woodgrain box in excellent condition for age.  Square corners, no dishing, some light shelf rub on corners.  Very light soil on label.  Books clean and square, name written in ink on inside first page.  (Not my name.  I bought this many years ago from a friend who is now head of administration at the Bagdad US Embassy.)  Slight paper tears at spine corners on covers, looks like manufacturing error.
OCE        Box square but soiled.  Bottom has damaged corners.  Books clean and square

Greyhawk        3rd print.  Book solid but soiling on cover.  Probably F

JG Fantasy Catalog        December, 1977
Undated but 1978 based on products
January, 1979

1977 JG Catalog is their first catalog, worth $13-$53, depending on condtion according to Acaeum valuations.
The other catalogs appear to worth less.

http://www.acaeum.com/jg/IndexbyTitle.html

The scan of the front page of the 1977 catalog indicates they include games other than JG products. By chance, is there anything in there about the "new" D&D Basic Set, which came out Summer/Fall 1977? I'm always interested in finding out about contemporary reviews/advertisements/catalog listings for the first Basic Set.

The first catalog is December 1977, so doesn't mention new, but does list it.

Some big dollar items there and some nice lower dollar as well, but before you sell these give yourself a chance to think about it. Sell in haste and repent in leasure. I've seen it happen time after time here. The Woodgrain seems like it is the most valuable in what you have listed. if you keep it you may want to have it insured or at least photo'd or DvD'd and listed on your homeowners insurance. At the very least put it somewhere safe.

I recommend highly not to sell anything till you decide 100% you don't want these. Then do not take offers on the lot or any items till you get a chance to learn their potential value. You can do some of that here but ebay can be somewhat of a price guide if you know how to interpret the final prices (for example many items do poorly at auctions but fantastic as buy it nows and other items it is better to run an auction with a reserve).

Ask questions here and post pictures if you can.

Good luck! (and even when you are 100% sure you want to sell, don't, take a week at least to think it over).

I cannot help for an appraisal since I am interested in a few of them, I won't be objective :)

As Jazon said, take your time to set a price. There is some very interesting items.

Two questions:
Is "High Fantasy Jeffrey Dillow" the orange booklet?
World of Silverdawn has the map on the cover or not?

World of Silverdawn has a map on the cover.  High Fantasy has a warrior with a bloody sword fighting a reddish orange winged demon.

I will try to put up some pictures.  This is my first try.  The woodie is really pretty nice.

Nice pictures and even nicer group of items.
You should be able to retire comfortably after you sell all those items.

Given age and rarity, I bet the woodgrain may be one of the nicest 2nd prints still around.

Yep, some would sell very well. They look in great shape.

My guess:
- Book of Sorcery $30-40
- Boot Hill $80-90
- Plateau Capital of Evil (3 copies recently in 1 month) $30-40
- Quicksilver adv. $50
- White Bear Red Moon $120-150?
- World of Silverdawn $80
- Sol $50-70
- Space Patrol $10-15
- Death test $10
- Wizards $15-20

Would you please give us a total page count for your Character Archaic?
Every copy I have had and/or seen or read about always has a different page count.
If you have time, please also give us the number of sheets for each Character Class and identify any sheets which are not PC sheets.
FWIW: That will be your #2 in value... behind the Woodie of course.

Does your copy of Boot Hill include a separate sheet folded in half?
Not stapled; single sided with a map showing some building layouts.

The White Bear and Red Moon is a second print and the price ranges quoted above seem right to me for that print.

The two Wilderlands of the Magic Realms are 1st print sets
As is the Wilderlands of High Fantasy set.
Around $35-40 per set on e-Bay assuming no writing, highlighting, ect...

Ringbearer is not laminated.  I actually helped playtest the rules for that at Little Soldier Games back in the day.  I'll have to check the Boot Hill later.

After a second look at the picture I saw it was not.
The crinkle on the front cover at the bottom near the spine looks like card stock for sure.

This is the folded map sheet I was speaking of for Boot Hill, 1st print (Later prints had the map inserted/stapled into the book).

Boot Hill does have a separate sheet folded in half but it is a reference sheet, a single page folded in half with print on both sides.  It has to hit and weapon tables, etc.  I did not see any town diagrams like the picture you provided.  I did notice that Appendix E at the back of the book, which deals with building design, refers to examples "below".  However, the page below is blank.

Interesting.
So the reference sheet is not attached (stapled) to the book?
If not, can you scan or take pictures of both sides of that sheet and add them to your photo album?

Why is that interesting?  My copy was the same.  Is that unusual?

It's not stapled and there are no holes so it never was.  I'll have to pull it out again later, since I'm at work.
