What is this and what system is it for/from?
The artwork on the edge of the maps reminds me of either Dragonlance, or perhaps DarkSun...
Is this part of a box set?

No clue, but it's definitely not Dark Sun, and I don't think it's Dragonlance.

It is from the Mayfair boxed set of CSotIO. The complete boxed set sells for less than $10... So the current price is ... insane!

It is from the Mayfair boxed set of
City State of the Invincible Overlord
I would rate its value as fairly low as just a fragment of the set.
I would rate the entire set as low in value...as a gaming product.

As above, from the Mayfair reprint of CSIO. Fair quality printing, but the product was horrificly sh!te and remains pretty valueless. There was a whole series of 'addon' boxed sets of spurios fluff that Mayfair added to expand CSIO, and the whole lot can be got for less than the cost of postage unless you shop at T&T.
T&T have a tendancy to sell these with a photo of
JG
CSIO, claiming they are genuine Judges Guild boxed sets, which of course have never existed. It's a sale trick they've been pulled on many times over the years and never done anything to correct.
This week I've been mostly eating . . . chicken and wild rice soup.

I'm still looking for a couple of the sets, so if you want to direct me to a cheap source...

I find they crop up on eBay fairly regularly, and a number of the online resellers. Here in the UK there's a second hand store with a fairly poor website called Spirit Games,
IIRC
, and there are a few resellers in the US that still trade, but aren't as well known as
NKG
. I passed on a few at the weekend at my local Con, Bogwater or Brairwood, and Deception at Desa. I'm sure they'll either make an appearance at the next Con in August. Amazon.com and .co.uk also seem to have most of them quite often, but pricing varies widely.

I have all of them, I'll post them soon. Nice condition, too.

I have a few of the expansions in shrink and the box set open...purchased before I knew better (but got a good price on the lot). I looked through the box set and thought it was fair. Probably shouldn't have been given the CSIO name as it doesn't compare to the original. I haven't heard anything good the expansions and thats probably why I never opened them. I will probably end up getting the others that I don't have just for completeness ... thanks guys
