Hit up an old hobby shop today and found a stack of early White Dwarf Magazines in decent shape.  Looks like some great old articles (and funky ads).  Paid about $40 for issues 22, 24, 25, 31, 32, 34, 36, 37, 39 & 40.  Really just wanted to buy something from an actual store again - but now I'm wondering if these have any value beyond my reading pleasure?

difficult to say with these value wise - sometimes they go for the starting bid but sometimes they surprise you - as a rough estimate I reckon$1-$12 each (not much help there I'm afraid!

Great stuff though - personally reckon you did well - though from a rpg point of view those issues are kind of where I came in so they have a special place in my heart.

You can never have too much of something you didn't need in the first place.

Nice find, at a good price.  I'd be happy.

Though you are missing issues #29 and #33, you have most of Paul Vernon's excellent articles about designing a medieval society and town planning.  You also have the Starstone adventure, "Trouble at Embertrees" in issue #34.

I'm unsure of the current value, however when I was looking for #34, I found a $5-8.00 was average.

There is an auction for a beat-up #33 up now:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Best,

Paul

I agree with those values... I was aquiring these same issues around a year ago & paid about $4-$5 each in lots, with a couple single isues up to $8.  I think you did just fine.

I quite enjoyed reading through mine and I think you will also... Plus, it is nice to buy gaming mags from a store :)
