Any recent price/availability guidelines on this, and whether its a set worth having? Frustratingly, I cannot access ebay for a week but wanted to get an indication if this is worth looking for?
Thanks

Do you mean the Dark Sun world as a whole, or do you mean the boxed campaign setting?

I never played it, so I can't tell you how well it worked at the table.  However, Athas.org had a dedicated fanbase that supported it through 3E.

Yeah, I found that site, it does have a good base.

I wondered if the boxset was good reading and if you could incorporate the ideas into a 'standard' campaign? Kind of like having it as a desert continent rather than a whole world. I think for $15 I'll keep watching and try it out.
