City State of the Sea Kings (CSSK) primarily focuses on the City of Rallu and the Isle of the Blest. While Tula is mentioned, and somewhat involved with Rallu, the CSSK product will not cover Tula in any cartography way. Both Rob Conley and I, Chris Bernhardt, have done maps for the CSSK book, and have collaborated on several of them as well.

As to how the project came about, I actually go into all the details of this in the book itself, so I am going to hold off on that for now. It has been a work in progress for about 10 years, give or take. I know, I think about it myself and kind of cringe when I say it. However there has been a multitude of issues that have caused the extended delay in CSSK making its debut before now. For the moment let me just say that several rewrites and other either business or personal concerns have affected the books progress. The most significant event was of course the passing of Bob Bledsaw, the Invincible Overlord himself. I cannot say that the book has been 'on and off', as to my mind it has been 'on' since I started to work on it. Perhaps I should say that it has been 'on' in one fashion or another since its beginning, just in different forms. Hope that is not too cryptic and gives you at least some kind of response to your question.

Again for now, I do not want to go into too much other detail for the moment. Suffice it to say that I will post more when it is appropriate to do so and when the information is actually available for release. My thanks for all the interest and praise for our work. More to follow...

Keep smiling. If you can't smile, grin and bare your teeth. It looks the same, and your prepared to bite if necessary.

This is excellent news.  The comments from both of you have given me reason to suspect that your work is of high quality.  Keep going!  :D

Actually it different than my harn style. The best way of describing it is a color version of the Judges Guild Wilderness Maps adapted to a poster maps instead of one hex per page.

I talked about it in this blog post, http://batintheattic.blogspot.com/2009/ ... pping.html

I do this because I felt is was more the Judges Guild style than what I was doing up to that point. The advantage is that you get to see where exactly the mountains are. And you get to directly use the rules out of the old Judges Guild products for dealing with these maps.

This a link to a preview image.

City State of the Sea Kings?

Is that what CSSK means?

Had an injury recently, that left me somewhat incapacitated, which has caused a slight delay in the work on CSSK. (Been down for over a week recovering.) Just letting everyone know, however, that I am back on the case and things are once again underway. More news to follow, as it occurs.
