I was able to snag this guy from reddoogie earlier in the week:

** expired eBay auction **

Mentioning it because of all the things he had up I think this was probably the most "rare" item.  You can literally take a bath in "Rat on a Stick" or "Jungle of Lost Souls" but this one you don't see much of.  Even compared to other JG this one comes up less frequently than say "Inferno", and way less frequently than "Dark Tower", and those command respectable prices.  Now why is that ...is Toughest Dungeon actually rarer than the rating in the booty list or do people just not bother to try and sell them?

I'm thinking it is rarer.  Aaron recently has two copies for sale, but before that he didn't have these for years.  Was this one of the titles caught in the great fire maybe?  That would explain why you don't see stock like the other two T&T titles.

The Great Fire?

RPG’s, D&D in particular has had a major influence in my life. It’s bonded me together with life long friends...it’s that bond in life not just as friends, but in our jokes, our mannerisms, and what we find funny. Invincible Overlord

Yes the Great Fire.  Maybe Shane can elaborate but some Warehouse went up in smoke with lots (half?) the JG titles.  The info is around this subweb somewhere.

So that is why you have large stocks of shrink wrapped items on some titles, and some titles you have whatever was bought by joe public before the fire.  That is my understanding anyways.

Yes here is where I read this, see Shane's comments in the thread about Backhawk Hobbies:

about6398.html

So 1/3 of the product destroyed at the end of Judges Guild.  Do any members here remember if there was ever a discussion about what specific titles got the kybosh in that fire?  That would be interesting to know.

[Edit for spelling].

If anyone knows, Plaag knows.
Never heard of it myself.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . chicken and wild rice soup.

As for Toughest... yeah you may actually be right on the fact its either not being sold as often or just not selling.
As for the warehouse fire, I could have sworn I had that someplace else else in the forum, but appears I don't.  Bob didn't even know what was in that warehouse, though it wasn't the Traveller stuff.  I can't find my notes (and probably won't be able to for sometime due to a move) but I'm not sure of when that fire took place.
I'll bring this up with the Valuation Board though and maybe see about changing the rarities on some of the products.

Never heard of the warehouse fire.

That seems like a large detail to miss all this time.  :?
